Ohio Valley Woodturners Guild

Presents

Turning 2015

Dear Vendor:

The Ohio Valley Woodturner’s Guild (OVWG) cordially invites you to exhibit your woodworking products at our biennial “Turning 2015 Woodturning Symposium”.  The symposium is held at Higher Ground Conference and Retreat Center, located in the greater Cincinnati area, and will be held October 9-11, 2015.  We expect another sellout with more than 250 attendees expected each day.

Our lineup of professional demonstrators attending Turning 2015 is world class and includes:

Mike Jackofsky

Chris Ramsey

Mark St. Ledger

Neil Scobie

Malcolm Tibbetts

Derek Weidman

In addition to this pro lineup, several regional and nationally recognized woodturners are scheduled to appear offering a wide range of project and tool demonstrations. Pro demonstrators were carefully selected to exhibit a wide range of woodturning projects, use of various tools, finishes, jigs, and specialty products. You are invited to contact scheduled pro turners regarding use of your products during any of their scheduled demonstrations.  If you would like a chance to demo some of your products personally, please contact Kevin Miller at   kevin.miller@netcracker.com

A total of 27 vendor booths will be available on a first to confirm/first reserved basis.  Four backup slots will also be reserved to accommodate last minute scheduling or travel issues that may arise.  Booth deposit is $150.  Checks can be mailed to address given at end of email. On arrival at the symposium,  OVWG is requesting  that you donate a woodturning tool or similar product with a retail value of $150.  On receipt of the product donation, your deposit of $150 will be refunded to you.  Your product donation will be displayed with advertising throughout the symposium at the main entrance to the demonstration area, and will be auctioned on Saturday.  Proceeds from the auction support OVWG activities throughout the year including our very popular youth and outreach educational programs.

Both size is approximately 10x10 feet.  Multiple booths may be reserved (double booths count as two vendors). Tables will also be provided.

Our demonstration schedule will include several breaks throughout each day intended to increase vendor area traffic.  Every effort will be made by demonstrators and OVWG volunteers to promote all vendors in attendance.  You are encouraged to open your booth prior to the initial round of demonstrations (8:00am) and focus sales efforts during the daily meal breaks scheduled from 12:30 to 1:30 and after 5:00 both Friday and Saturday.  Special promotions, coupons, etc. are encouraged….let us know how we can support your sales efforts.

Confirmation of reservation will be sent by April 1, 2015, or within two weeks of receipt of your request if received after that date.  One month before the symposium you will receive details on booth setup, offload support, nearby motels, etc.

Please send your reservation and booth fee of $150 to
