| Greg Gallegos Classes
Following the demonstrations at this month's OVWG meeting, Greg Gallegos will conduct classes on Sunday and Monday. There are still vacancies in these classes. I always hear things such as "how do you do that?" or "I would like to be able to do more things". Well one of the ways to learn new techniques and how to do more things is to take classes from the professionals we have at our meetings. The class on Sunday on making the Podlets will definitely improve you ability to turn finer finials and to turn thin pieces. They also provide the opportunity to learn how to bend and shape wet wood pieces. On Monday, Greg will show attendees how he does the embellishments on his unique pieces. Students will learn how to apply embellishments, to turned pieces, using a variety of tools and processes and then how to apply color to make the embellishments pop. The piece pictured above is a vase I did using Greg's techniques, so come on down and join your fellow OVWG friends at one of the classes and learn "how to do that". |
