Subject: Early Bird & Chapter Discount for AAW Portland Symposium
From: KC Kendall

The early bird and chapter discounts to attend the 2024 AAW Symposium in Portland, OR, May 23-26, 2024, are still available, but expire after Friday, April 5.

You can save a total of $90 with both discounts.

The AAW member rate to attend is $375 now, going up to $425. The non-AAW member rate is $445 going up to $495, and this also includes a 1 year AAW membership. The chapter discount adds another $40 in savings.

If you are interested in this, simply email me by April 5 at kckend@gmail.com. We do need at least 5 members to sign up to receive the Chapter discount. I will receive a special code that those who enroll will use on the online registration to obtain the discount. I will let everyone know on April 4 if we have enough interest for the Chapter discount.

Anyone can register on their own by April 5 to get the individual early bird rate, saving $50.

Is Portland "safe"? Dale Larson is a very well known demonstrator, long time member of the AAW, former member of the AAW Board of Directors, and a retired Portland Police Officer.  Dale strongly encourages us to disregard old news about the safety situation in Portland. The environment is very safe and secure.  And, the symposium venue is across the river from the downtown area where many of the past issues were centered.  The AAW Staff recently visited the city and the symposium venue.  They assure us that all is well, safe, and secure, not only at the venue, but in the surrounding area.

Please contact me with any questions.  I hope many of you will join me at the 2024 AAW Symposium.
